SSCOP has introduced a new variety black gram (Sharada) pulses at Morangabari, Baghmara, Moynaguri Kankanguri and Singijani Moynaguri village. There are cultivated by 160 farmers and they get more yield and hence more profit.

SSCOP in collaboration with NABARD is enhancing the knowledge and skill empowerment of rural families, through a rural connect programme with the aim of sharing technology trends and marketing strategies with the farming community of the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal through a Village Knowledge Centre (VKC).

Zero tillage Technology of Rice cultivation in the Cooch Behar district proved to be a superior technology over conventional technology. A net saving of INR 3400/- per acre was obtained through introduction of Zero Tillage over traditional methods.

SSCOP have started zero tillage programme on Rice at village: Morangabari & Bahmara, Block: Cooch Behar-I, Dist- Coochbehar farmers with help of KVK, UBKV, Pundibari, Cooch Behar. This has new reached Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri districts as well.

SSCOP has started Agriculture Implement Hub with the support of NABARD Loan cum Grant Project. We work as Service Provider on Threshing, Zero Tillage, Paddy Transplanter, Weeder, Ploughing, Sprayer. This CHC is a major Hub in entire North Bengal.

SSCOP started community Vermi Compost Unit with the support of Department of Agriculture, Cooch Behar in the year 2011-12 and it is still running .We produce 1000kg vermi per month. We have convinced 155 farmers to use compost in their land.
